what this is

pute is one coin, one pool and 100 machines. The pool's liquidity is cut into 100 price bands stacked end to end. Each band belongs to one machine. When the price is inside a band, that band's machine is the one doing the work, and the swap fees paid while the price is there belong to it.

the ladder

the band below the price is sol side, the band above it is coin side, and exactly one band is in range.

the spec, eight bytes

every machine stores eight bytes. the first four are read as hardware, the last four are spare. the inspector shows all sixty-four bits.

clk, byte 0fee in pips = 8000 + 28 × clk
ecc, byte 1chance a bit flip is blocked = ecc ÷ 256
bus, byte 2share of the job routed here = bus × 16 ÷ 255
cch, byte 3job ring size = 8, 16, 32 or 64 by the low two bits
classclk ÷ 64, so stock, binned, tuned, unlocked
bit flips

a job large enough to pass the flip threshold picks one bit of one machine's spec and tries to flip it. ecc can block the attempt. a landed flip rewrites the hardware, so the fee, the ring and the class can all change under the owner. the jobs list marks every attempt as landed, blocked or unminted.

owning a machine

mint an unminted band at its mint price, or buy one that is listed. an owner collects pending sol and coin, compacts memory while the band is coin side, withdraws from the machine account, and lists or delists at any price. everything is a direct call to the contract from your own wallet.
